Come now, to Autumn's ball And marvel as the oak's leaves fall Adorned in scarlet and crimson attire With beauteous grace, their dance does inspire
An intricate waltz as they glide to the ground To the orchestra of the blackbird's sound The forest's ensemble, melodies sung sweet That resounds through the woods, a steady beat
Sycamores sway to elegant sound As their hands intertwined, and by passion, are bound Enlightened by light, dancing across their form Within its body and soul the light did adorn
And as I indulged on the alluring display Such a delightful scene that before did play Within Autumn's ball I became entranced As golden leaves and sycamores danced ~
You are a Prodigy. This is one of my favorite Eva . You imagined well how leaves fall from the trees and as they glide towards the ground a ballet and waltz and ballroom dance ensued as wind and breeze and gravity gently twist and rotates the leaves and soften their descend to the barren forest floor. While blackbirds doing the DJ Band . Only you and you alone could vividly imagine and paint and capture such scene and pictures with such clarity in poetic language just the stroke of your pen and imagination . Its like watching high definition TV. I like the swaying of the sycamore leaves and trees.
They always say that a picture paints a thousand words . I think in my own humble opinion this old saying can now be refuted . With just your pen and words captures a thousand pictures . No need for a digital camera . Truly remarkable .
:: very beautiful poetry... vivid and picturesque... my favourite stanza is the second stanza... it's extremely melodious... and i won't ever forget "an intricate waltz"... such a unique choice of words and image... also, i loved the rhythm... it had the feel of an autumn breeze... i'm not an expert at all but i didn't find anything amiss in this lovely poem... i read it and then i read it again... it reads like a magic spell... very perfect writing... :)

I can't thank you enough for the kind words, I am very glad to hear that you enjoyed it
In a few places, the rhythm is sketchy, like the first stanza, "Adorned in scarlet and crimson attire, With beauteous grace their dance does inspire." If you said that out loud, you would know what I mean. I'm not an expert, so don't take my word for it! ;) I really REALLY liked it though, and you are a great poet! I almost felt like I was dancing along with them! I love Autumn, and wrote a poem (not really like this one) that also describes it, but not in half as much beauty as you did! :) Keep up the good work! ;)
