A glance through guarded eyelashes,
It seems but a simple gesture,
But covert intentions lay concealed,
As the look is more a vesture,
To anyone else, they would dismiss,
And think the expression hallow,
But to whom that gaze is fixed upon,
Such wonderful feelings follow,
For in this look, a meaning endures,
Secluded secretly below,
Of pure affection and yearning,
A promise of love you bestow,
A composition of pure emotion,
A symphony in your eyes,
It sings and beckons the unbreakable bond,
The rope, that us, it ties,
So if you one day capture this gaze,
You must surely not dismiss,
The hidden secrets that lay behind,
For a look is as deep as a kiss.
