That stareA Poem by rhEAA simple poem related to the development of a relationship. That stare I’m talking to my friends You’re talking to your friends Suddenly our gaze have met Not knowing each other yet Like battling we strongly stared. Strangers looking at each other Common friends became our way Enemies? Friends? We’ll be someday We’re the same, why bother? Unexpectedly we’re together, sitting, chatting Learned our similarities and differences Seen as couples, they’re mistaking They want me for reference Bid our goodbyes as friends Never thought you mean it Answer why? Are you hurt? Thought forever we’ll be friends Same as before, we’re staring Now towards me you’re walking You handed a bouquet, blushing I’m in shock, still staring Starting again, now as lovers © 2015 rhEAFeatured Review
