Possession

Possession

A Poem by Eva. a
"

A longing that is violent yet still love...

"
Possession

If I cannot have you,
let the moon turn to ash,
let the wind whisper your name in longing,
let every lover’s touch feel hollow"
for you are meant to be mine.

I want to live in your breath,
in the heat that coils in your veins,
in the darkness behind your closed eyes
when you moan in restless dreams.
I will haunt you,
trace your skin with unseen fingers,
carve my name into the silence between your heartbeats.

You will wake with the taste of me
lingering on your tongue,
a phantom touch, a craving that no one else can satisfy.
No matter how far you run,
how many lifetimes you escape into,
I will find you, claim you, ruin you"
until you are mine completely,
body, mind, and soul.

Now, hush.
Hold your tongue"let me kiss you.
