Two Simple Cuts

Two Simple Cuts

A Poem by Winters Eve
"

This was a poem I worte recently to one of my best friends. As a recovering cutter i found it relaxing writing about experiences where I might cut rather than actually doing so.

"

You’ve earned your spot on my leg.

I heard my heart calling out, for my blood it begged.

Now no worries it’s not as over done as previous times.

With this razor I only made straight lines.

Two very simple cuts in the shape of a “T”.

One line’s for you and one line’s for me.

I’m holding you to your word, to see you again.

Maybe if you held me it would allow my heart to mend.

So it seems I have lost something in this mess.

A little bit of blood more of my heart and some well needed rest.

Please take care of my heart; I want to give it to you.

Oh yeah, and p.s. I love you too.
