RIP ComfortA Poem by Jessica Noel
Noisy and somewhat off key car rides, following a tangy coconut scent are a few of the surface memories that continually haunt me, entangling myself with a feeling not to be erased.
Refusing to leave my side at all costs, I am forced to relive a trembling body with a swollen heart, too big for my body yet not large enough. Trying to let go, whereas actually letting go is a task I have yet to accomplish. But even with wide eyes and a willingness to capture a warm memory,
I discover my immovable state cannot be shaken. © 2010 Jessica Noel |
