Love

Love

A Poem by Jessica Noel

If it was not your witty charm that compelled me toward you, it was your want.
Your want to be intoxicated with all that the world and space may offer.
That kind face of yours, embellished on your being, forces me to constantly admire, however I find my words lack the angelic justice it rightfully deserves.
Your eyes are in a word, beautiful. Though I complain about being in their constant gaze, I find myself to be pulsating the most while in their light.
Heaven could never compare to your beauty, nor hell would be jealous of the fire you possess.

You hold myself until that fire extinguishes.

Good description of want and desire for someone who is judged as being out of one's league. Nice passion and detail concerning the personality of the admired person. I like the slightly ambiguity of this piece and how they are not suited to either heaven or hell. There are a few parts where the flow and rhythm are a little lacking and I didn't find the last line to have much impact in it, but the detail and description was lovely. Well done.
