Soft Powder Tresses

Soft Powder Tresses

A Poem by ettorney
"

For the contest

"
She has tresses so soft like powder.

My ruff hands, calloused from honest work, are caressing them. Protecting.
I let them fall gently through my fingers to cascade down
upon my eyes and across the bridge of my nose.

My dreams are born of loneliness and fear.
Yet in them I am suspended in warm water
while sunlight peaks through her hair as it lays gently across my face.

I smile slightly as I drift in the twilight of sleep surrounded by tresses so soft like powder.

This is nice, sensual, and yet very calming.
Love that last line.

I really like those three words too. :)
ooooo I like this. It screams of relaxation and lazy, laid back adoring love and cuddling. I like the way you incorporated the words into this. Nice write!
