Soft Powder TressesA Poem by ettorneyFor the contestShe has tresses so soft like powder.
My ruff hands, calloused from honest work, are caressing them. Protecting. I let them fall gently through my fingers to cascade down upon my eyes and across the bridge of my nose. My dreams are born of loneliness and fear. Yet in them I am suspended in warm water while sunlight peaks through her hair as it lays gently across my face. I smile slightly as I drift in the twilight of sleep surrounded by tresses so soft like powder. © 2011 ettorneyAuthor's Note
