I'm not a polygamist

I'm not a polygamist

A Poem by ettorney
"

But I can dream. Or is it a nightmare?

"
I'm not a polygamist but I can dream.
Four wives is enough for me it would seem.
One will tell me what she thinks
Another to help me fix my drinks
A third to teach my children lore
A fourth to be, well you know, my....

Is this too much for a man to ask?
To have a woman each to her task
without the normal fights and spats
of howling, yowling feral cats.

I'd have four houses, I'd live in style
That should keep them for a while.
Neglect them not the Good Books state,
Or pay the price of an angry mate
Times four.

On the other hand.  One's plenty.

What a delightful read! Great rhyme and rhythm but I really enjoyed the humor that flows through it.
