Untold PainA Poem by CalliSleeplessness due to problems makes a bitter writer
Lying beneath a blanket of stars
I cannot help but feel new scars Pain and suffering still so fresh Tear tracks wet and out of breath. How can I help but feel betrayed When each word you spoke was a mistake? How does my heart ever heal right When each promise broken was said with light? Twisted and destroyed you wrecked my life Turned me around, ate me inside Apologies made of ice cold lies Never gave a flinch or sigh. Depression thick as inky blackness Have the stars have died within my eyes? Pain and suffering bound with hatred Have the tears turned to molten spite? No longer do I use your crutch Trust your fabrication, feel your touch Strong enough to pilfer my soul I've twisted it, it's not my own. Lying beneath a blanket of stars
I no longer feel these old scars Pain and suffering no longer exists Tears are only weakness of the flesh. © 2013 CalliFeatured Review
