THE WAY THE WORLD ENDS

we can pretend that life is good
that everyone's happy 
and doing what they should

we can keep moving along
pretending it's okay
yet sadness is our theme song
begging us to obey

we can lie about our feelings
to the rest of the world
and keep living life without meaning
pretending to be furled 

but my dearest friend,
can't you see 
that this is the way the world ends
how it has to be

by treating people terribly
and never doing good
this world is getting scary 
and i told you that it would 

never stopping to smile
or wish someone well
this might take a while,
it's not a short trip to hell

We go along our day
with a smile on our face
pretending it's all going to be okay;
hiding all our sadness without a trace

but my dearest friend,
can't you see 
that this is the way the world ends
how it has to be

running along without a care
hurting everyone not matter what our vision
we aren't even aware
that we will soon be oblivion

ruining everything
without a notice,
