September's Changes, October's ApproachA Poem by VertoAtrumA poem I wrote back in Septemer, of 2014, naturally. About the changing of the seasons.
Oh how I remember,
That time in September, The leaves in their grace, The trees in their splendor A chill in the water, The wind blowing harder, Soft earth hard'ning up, All beasts In their slumber The river decreasing, The leaf growing ceasing, The trees dropping nude, The pine needles creasing The flowers were sulking, The creatures were hiding, The world was in pause, Twas winter approaching © 2015 VertoAtrum |
