Haiku-Yearning

Haiku-Yearning

A Poem by VertoAtrum

My heart is hurting,

Like it hasn't in so long,

Aching me to sleep

My hands reach for yours,

But there's nothing there, not now,

Maybe one day soon

And still my heart yearns,

It cries invisible tears,

Onto shoulders cold

The star is aligned,

Guiding you to me, so bright,

Yet extinguishing

Author's Note

VertoAtrum
The paragraphs are getting lighter to represent the emotional toll the subject is taking, draining more and more happiness as the subject is discussed. I hope it is an interesting addition.

I like how the colour fades away gradually.
