DreamcatcherA Poem by VertoAtrumI've always wondered if these things do work, or if they're just a comfort. It sits upon
the wall, nailed into the paint, Does its
name do it justice? Is it a
simple item, Or a ghostly
saint, A complaint I’ve
heard many times, From many
mouths, They cannot
sleep, For their negative
dreams surround them, Closer insanity
creeps, So they turn
to this trinket, String, beads, wood, plumage, To sift
through their minds, And eat
their nightmares, But nobody
cares to think, Does it
really work? Or does it
simply swing, At the edge
of your bed, And watch
you sleep © 2013 VertoAtrumAuthor's Note
