When Day Turns To Night

When Day Turns To Night

A Poem by VertoAtrum

When the day turns to night, I wonder

,

If we watched it, would it still change?

Whenever I look away, it seem to darken

,

An optical illusion, magic? It’s strange

,

How the sky is black one moment now,

,

The next it’s devoid of stars and moon

,

But one look away and it seems to morph,

And Twilight says the day comes soon

I smell an opportunity for meta fiction here. Try starting the poem in a larger font, and slowly shrink down to a smaller one. This will give a visual illusion that will add to the basic premise you've started here, and I think you'll get a lot of thumbs up by doing it. Otherwise, it is just another night poem, and though it is a well painted minimalist piece, it needs something to set it apart.
