Rain

Rain

A Poem by Ethel
"

A really basic poem about the rain

"

Will draw slanting lines
Outside doors and windows
Where nature dance alone
For the pelting drops,
Swampy earth,
And chilling breeze
Had banished kids from field

yes, maybe basic in appearance, but deeper in meaning...In many of our old sixties songs, rain meant trouble..there is much of that right now...lots of injustice and hate...
this poem brings me there. In third line I read it as "nature dances alone"
but oooh, i like this piece for its parallel simplicity and complexity all in one.

I liked this one too. Simple.. Especially the first and the third lines. Very descriptive
