Singing With Fire

Singing With Fire

A Poem by EternityWolf101
"

Man, It's been a while since I've written anything.... too long....

"

You've kept it in for so long

Burning the memories into bitter ashes

With the anger you can barely control

And the eyes of an innocent bird

Pages wiped clean

Washed away in your tides of tears

Let me help you remember

And write the monsters away

Even though love has faded away

Your heart still beats near complete

And I'll never forget why

Why I am always thinking about you

Sitting alone

With nobody to sing

I continue your dismayed song

And cry myself to sleep

Unnoticed by the master key

I keep my opening clear

Waiting to unlock the pleasure

And bury away the pain

Wow, this is certainly reaching the depths of soul writing. The words and descriptions are poignant, didn't fail to shock. Memories can haunt, which is why we go crazy trying to get rid of them, because the painful memories are the most memorable ones, and no one would like to feel that pain again. Loved it. Fierce

Your poems always give me very detailed images, which I enjoy so much. This is one of my favorites that I've read by you.
