Wake Me

Wake Me

A Poem by EternityWolf101
"

wow.... how different I was back then.

"
I can tell you are watching me
Standing above me
Wondering why my eyes are closed
Why the sight of me clenches your stomach in knots
I know it can't be the blood on me

Why am I not breathing?
I am not sure
Do you breathe when you sleep?

Why is my chest covered with guts?
Whose guts are these?
They can not possibly be mine
I am alive
Am I?

The knife you see in my hand
It does not exist
Razors are my poison
My phobia
Ever since middle grade
So tell yourself it is there
I will not

Just walk away from me
Leave me in peace
While I try to drift away
While I attempt
Please try not to wake me

Wow... that's deep. I love it. You are very talented. The 4th stanza was difficult for me to understand but overall it's a very beautiful poem. Good job! :)
