Beauty In Shadows

What is inside the shadows.......

Lost in a large forest
Ties by vines to these familiar demonic trees
I can see a shadow with a blade

 

His chest is exiled a heart
A pair of lungs that no longer breathe
No more time for beauty sleep

 

His red teeth shine by the sun's bright rays
Reflecting my beaten and scarred face
In his unforgiving smile

 

My tears have died now
I wish I could scream and cry
But his smile keeps them at bay

 

Day after day
Night after night
He just stands there and watches me

 

I don't know what he wants

 

Every now and then, a touch of death on my skin
And whispers into my ear,
"You're mine"

 

Says the only living organism
In the dark forest
The Shadow

 

He made me see the beauty
The beauty in darkness
The beauty behind the shadows
