I Can't Just Give Up On You

Something I wanted to write for a couple reasons. 1) I wanted to write something. 2) For the one person who helped me get inspiration for not only today, but throughout a few years I've known him.

I remember the times you helped me

When I thought everything was over

I remember the times you healed me

When the world burst into flames

Everything seemed over

Crimson tears flooding my eyes

I wish I could take it all back

 

So I rose my glass

As high as space would let me

I gave you a batlecry

And told you what you mean to me

 

When you tell me everything's okay

When you fight by my side

When you help me up when I'm down

I gave you a calling

 

When you scream for me

I howl right beside you

And we rise from the darkness

 

I call for you

I call for only you

And my heart leaps from my chest

Telling me that I can't just give up on you

I can't just give up on you

Yes, this poem does have a lyrical tone to it, well, at least it does for me.
