White Fire And Something Else FamiliarA Poem by EternityWolf101I wanted to write something that seemed completely, well, grotesque, so here you go.The body count was unbelievable The smell was intoxicating The taste was exhilarating
My hand deftly caressed the red stained knife Moaning over the memories that swam in my head Like an infestation, my dreams cried of joy
One, four, twenty, a hundred, a million I don’t remember anymore The bodies kept on counting over the days And every day would be the same
Screams, dear agonizing screams They would call to me through the mist Living and breathing screams Begging for me to cut them loose
Years pass by and their numbers become infinite Reaching the ceiling and the walls An ocean of dead bodies
And who are they?
I don’t know They are complete strangers to me An illusion to society
But do I care?
No, I don’t
I crave the flesh being torn off their body like banana peels Revealing the soft and tender muscles beneath their hide All ready to feast upon as the neighbors, unknowing of me, Watch their favorite television show
To me, they're just watching white fire But they also seem to be watching something else familiar © 2012 EternityWolf101Author's Note
