IDENTITY LOST #2

IDENTITY LOST #2

A Poem by Eternal Thought

there's no struggle like this

black child's life's a crisis

in the ghetto children cry

praying God rewrite his

life which

lil Jah-lil feels he's a casualty of

no father figure

oldest son of 10

his mom's on drugs

it takes a village to raise a child

but who is given lil Jah love

made to work just about 24 hours a day

with no true say

in lil Jah becoming crip or blood

you at work

Jah in the streets

who will lil Jah love

it doesn't take a rocket scientist

to answer this

we can't blame Jahlil

who just got killed in a cross fire

called identity crisis

Now... this speaks measure...the whole reality of it hits you in the face...and the ending just puts this over the top:

we can't blame Jahlil
who just got killed in a cross fire
called identity crisis

I'm surprise this did not get reviewed...hits home...
