INDUCTION

INDUCTION

A Poem by Eternal Thought

Let's face it
Your presence is far from being basic
Replace it
Never
From the slums to the heaven's
Feet planted in concrete withstanding any weather
Whether you believe it or not
I'm here until this beating in the center of my chest stop
I love you like common did hip-hop
Like the older guys on the corner singing do-wop
Like poppa and his brandy
Jerome did candy
Picture rice being thrown for us
On beaches that's sandy
My best man and your family
Tears streaming
Flower-girls walking down a rose-petal aisle screaming
She's coming in
With me at the other end
My wife in Godly armor is here to be inducted with me
Into the arms of eternity
Love her like God do we and her me
Kissing her feet until the day
Death inaugurate me-
