Sometimes

Sometimes

A Poem by Eternal Thought

Sometimes my presence

Beat the hell out of adolescence

Bringing verbal blessings

Running from their past

Looking for their present

Catch them with their backs against wall

Bricks crashing & blood splashing

Crack house smoking

Neighbors laughing

Children dying

Mothers holding their unborn babies crying

Why Jah

And I Jah

Sometimes
