The Piper

The Piper

A Poem by Jamie Reading
"

A poem of mistakes, and life. Destiny.

"

A melodious tune

A Pipers flute

An Unmarked grave

A nameless piper sits upon

A melodious tune

Name engraved upon birth

A song begins

A song of damning salvation

An ordered song of relentless abandon

A piper watches

playing your tune

Watching what you do

If you go against

He misses a note

A fluid flow of a musical stream

A missed note stagnates

Piper just smiling

playing his flute

sitting atop the grave

The piper is the key to your salvation

But in the end he will be your executioner

A melodious tune

A Pipers flute

A marked  grave

A nameless piper sits upon

A melodious tune

The piper sitting playing your song

A rhythm played to the metronome of the soul

Smiling while you suffer

Smiling while you prosper

always watching and playing your song

from under his wide-brimmed hat

A melodious tune

A Pipers flute

A marked grave

A nameless piper sits upon

A melodious tune

He plays at your funeral, sitting on your grave, till your done and gone.

The he hops away to play an-others tune

Author's Note

Jamie Reading
There is no flow to this, the way i see it, it symbolizes the mistakes one makes, it flows in parts then suddenly breaks off. Its intentional.
