Birth Of A Child

Truly a unbreakable bond

The stars had gathered for the moon was addressing
"I am sent from heaven, an Angels blessing,
that upon the hour the sun graces earth
a mother and child, will be united at birth".

As night wore on the moon gave way
the sun, prepared, the beginning of day,
for now was the hour, the coming of dawn
in the arms of a mother, a child is born.

You clasped my finger with your tiny hand
an instant bond a love so grand,
I stroked your head with tearful eyes
for upon my breast my child lies.

Though the hours of dawn since passed us by
tears still fall of love and joy,
this love I have now, is unlike any other
the love I have now, is the love, of a mother.
