Our Anniversary

Our Anniversary

A Poem by Eternal Poet
"

I wrote this for my parents on their wedding anniversary

"
It seems only yesterday that we were wed
vows exchanged written and said,
the vow recited till death do us part
that was the day, you stole my heart.

Pictures and memories now amass
as days of old have come to pass,
prestige and vintage come to mind
no sweeter love, would I ever find.

I sit and look back upon my life
to the day we became man and wife,
I count each day the blessings of you
with hand on heart a dreams come true.

Though the fruit of youth I have no longer
the fruit of love, each day grows stronger,
at each rise of the sun, as the day is anew
so fresh is my heart, and the words, I love you.
