I FOUND A CHURCH

I was conversing back and forth through e-mail with a friend and decided that what I wanted to share with her I also wanted to share with other lightworkers.

As much as I didn't want to I had to take a break from the groups when I went home to Texas for 8 days for Christmas. Until then I hadn't realized how much of my time that I spent online. O.o LOL! It got to the point where I found value in being online, doing readings, learning and sharing my views in the various psychic/spiritual groups. When I was forced to take a break from all of this stuff I was able to see my life from a different perspective. As much as I may have been helping other people, I wasn't helping myself very much. It's easy to forget that we have to put our path first otherwise we won't continue to progress ourselves because we get so consumed in trying to help others progress on their paths. How much good are we lightworkers to those just starting out if we don't practice what we teach and take time for ourself to raise our consciousness as well? :-)

I am not sure what everyone's religious beliefs are, but I feel that it is important for me to share this with other spiritualists & lightworkers like myself. ^_^

I grew up in a very religious family. My entire family (including extended) are all non-denominational Christians. My husband's family are all Catholic. I must say that while non-denom churches aren't as dry and strict as Catholic churches they were still unfulfilling for me. There was some substance there, but not everything. I always felt like something was missing from my life. Over time I stopped going to church, embarked on a "spiritual path" and began to explore who I am. In doing that I was much happier than I had ever been in life. It's not because I didn't go to church anymore, it's because I felt free to be me. Still, though, there was a little bit of something that I hadn't found yet. Today I think I may have found it.

My husband and I live about 4 blocks from a small church. Even though something inside me kept telling me to visit, we never tried it out because we figured it'd be like all of the other churches in our area. One day when we drove past the church I noticed their sign read, "Wednesday night @ 7:00, Reiki". I can't explain to you how much shock I was in that a CHURCH was holding reiki classes. Unfortunately, my husband's work schedule conflicted with that time and I was much too shy to go on my own so we didn't go. Every week for about a month the sign still showed that they were holding reiki classes. Fast forward to Friday night, we drove past the church again and this time the sign read, "Intuition Workshop: January 21, 28 & Feb 4". My husband and I looked at each other with our jaws dropped. LOL! We quickly decided that we MUST go to service on Sunday morning. Today we had the most amazingly wonderful and eye-opening experience. We found a church that believes what we believe. They even discussed the Christ Consciousness, Spirituality, Intuition and a 10-minute meditation is a part of their service!!! I felt so much at home from the moment I walked through the door. I am such a socially shy person in my daily life, but I was just smiling from ear to ear. I couldn't hide my light like I normally have ZERO problem doing at other churches. LOL! Everyone was so warm and welcoming. We were greeted and hugged by so many people. It was so great. Every other church we've been to all of the people look at the new folks like their aliens or something and you can feel how fake they are when they actually do say hello. I didn't get that vibe from a single person there. If there is a Unity Church in your area I really urge you to try it out. It's like the psychic/spiritual groups here online, but it's in REAL LIFE instead. >^_^<

I am not trying to "preach" or "witness" to anyone nor am I trying to get people to stop going to those groups (because they are a GREAT place to learn & share). It's just that I am so excited that I found a place in REAL LIFE that has other people in REAL LIFE that are just like me.
