Broken Mirror

Broken Mirror

A Poem by A Drawer of Paper Roses
"

the rain makes me depressed

"

See the reflection of two before us?

Can't you see, it was always meant to be!

But then again
There's only one figure in the mirrow now.
It's taken so long to realize what's happening;
No,
What has happened.

Why couldn't you see this before?

Has true love blinded you and told you lies?

Or,
Did you just refuse to believe the truth?

The tears in you eyes are real

So is your vague memory of me

They might as well be the only things true.

I left you

You ask these questions to yourself
But the answer is already in front of you

Look into the broken mirror and see what you have lost:

My hand interwines with another's

And your heart shatters into splinters

That person appears to have made the grave mistake of hesitating. Lovely poem.
