Disconcerted BlissA Poem by KeerthisreeA secret
smile creeps on to my face, Oblivious to
my sadness. Was it you
who put it there, I come to wonder, But I know
that that’s just madness.
I breathe in
deeply, Filling my
lungs with fresh air, reminiscing about what was. Not realizing
that perhaps, what the future holds, Is far more
important to us.
There again,
at that moment, I can feel it inside, I don’t
understand what it is. I feel
happy, content and rather warm in fact, I’m
bewildered by what’s causing this.
You? I think
to myself again. No, it sure
can’t be. Cause when
the light in your eyes reflect on mine, I simply
forget about me.
I push the
thought of you away from my mind, Silencing
and muffling its existence. Knowing that
you will never be mine, Since the
wall between us creates a cold distance. © 2014 Keerthisree |
