You are a Part of MeA Poem by KeerthisreeI stare into your cold hollow eyes, Trying to make sense of it’s emptiness. I miss the way you laugh into my hair, Forgetting the world’s sadness.
Now, I glance at your ruffled hair, And think about our past, Knowing that it’s come undone, In front of our eyes, so fast.
Why can’t we wind the clock once more, And go back to how it was? I miss the comfort of your arms, Keeping me from getting hurt.
Yet, I am still hurting, A lot more than you think, Since your absence in my life, Creates a missing link.
You open your mouth in attempt to speak, But, your silence impales me, you see. But, sadly the truth cannot be ignored; You are in fact, a part of me. © 2014 KeerthisreeAuthor's Note
