Honey

Honey

A Poem by Tessa Le Rouge
"

its how i feel right now.

"

Hey, Honey, don't go breaking this off yet, we've still got business to discuss.
I'm wondering, what exactly are your thoughts of what's right and wrong?
Did you ever stop and think, maybe your morals are just a little bit off?
If you're gonna start preachin', do us all a favor and go play in traffic,
Because there ain't nobody who wants to see you lose your faith.
Just hold your breath and don't stop counting until you're dead.
It might just be the light, but you look better without breath.

Hey, Honey, I know this sounds a little harsh, but you can't fool me,
I know you've always loved the way I make you play the victim.
Call me an a*****e, i'm the most honest person you know.
Go on and say it, this is a normal conversation for you.
Besides, if i don't say it now, someone else will.
So, consider this a parting gift, sweetheart,
A favor, from one planewreck to another.

"Service Engine Soon" light is on, but at least you're out of my mind.
Left your reflection in the rear-view, at least you're out of my life.
I'm gonna floor it 'til I run out of gas or I lose sense of time,
which ever comes last, I'll be okay, I'll make it out alive.

Interesting rhythm, like a rap song...very sharp imagery, excellent choice of power words...overall, great job! Excellent feel of angry resolution.
