Anne Frank

Anne Frank

A Poem by Estonia

A girl with many questions,

Lied in silence,

Wandering and waiting to figure out

About herself,

About her future.

She asked her diary:

What she should feel

On the cold nights when she was warm.

What she should do when she was selfish.

What she should change and fix.

She asked her diary:

If she should believe,

When her homeland was being bombed.

She asked who she was

Because she did not know.

Anne, a girl with many questions

That she could not explain,

And when she found herself,

She had to leave the world forever.

It's hard to write about her. She was different. She died at war like many of other kids but her diary survived. Imagine the enormous quantity of people whose stories aren't possible to know. Luckily we have her and some other people. You managed to create a poem around such a figure. Love it.
