The wakeup call

The wakeup call

A Poem by Koudoha Essi Anne-Marie

When a child is told Santa does not exist,

I imagine how demoralizing it would feel.

See I had never been told Santa exists

So I never thought it would be a big deal.

I have however believed undying love exists,

Until you decided it was hard time to leave.

I felt like loving me was hard to resist

And now I feel like I walked on a banana peel

I still love you but you are late now

Someone else is here to replace you
