she's at it againA Story by Koudoha Essi Anne-MarieDuring those days when it felt like the walls were closing
in on her, and she had nowhere to go, she would take a step back, ignore
whatever was going on and find herself in a different world. Wow! It’s so
beautiful out there. Everybody loved their neighbors, just as the Lord
instructed them to do, the world was a happy place. It felt like human kind was
always walking on sunshine. In real life however, it doesn’t feel that way. She wants to
hide from everybody. Even though she knows it’s ridiculous, she can’t help but
think everybody is out to get her. She cannot do anything without thinking of
the worst. “Well how does this work for her then?” you might ask. This is how
it works: she just doesn’t do anything. Not doing anything will turn her life
upside down. But who cares. We are all going to die anyway. But just when she thinks life cannot get any worse, a hoard
of mistakes and stupid things she did to avoid facing reality in the past,
hasten towards her like a pack of wild animals escaping a bush fire. It’s only
at that very moment that she’s able to picture the same oddity Miss Davis
described as Satan during Sunday school years back, having one of the best
laughs of his existence. And that’s all because of her The angel of death will hiss at her like a cat would when
his scared. Only, this time, the purpose of the hissing is to scare her and
have a laugh from it. Dang! His teeth are horrible! No wonder God kicked you
out of heaven. Not that we aren’t going to rot in hell together. And by the
way, that odd looking thing on his head makes her feel worthless. It’s either a
crown or a pair of horns. But whatever it is, it look grandiose on him. The most
important thing is that Satan seemed to be having a better time than her and
she hated that. It finally occurred to her: “I am a psychotic, pathetic and
unwise simpleton” She needed therapy. “And you need Jesus” © 2015 Koudoha Essi Anne-Marie |
