Isolation Of Magenta (2014)A Poem by Kyran Asher GreyEmotion Sensory Poem.Depression has an appearance like a lingering soul, trapped in an eerie house. Shadows that hide in an empty corridor. Like a tainted black heart that was once considered innocently white. Anger palates like a steaming pepperoni and cheese pizza fresh out of a conventional oven as you bite into it. The cheese singeing your tongue leaving behind dead skin. A developed taste. Hatred has an odor like a mesmerizing fragrance that your ex-girlfriend wore. A mocking reminder of what your life used to consist of before it was taken from you. But does it ever last? Annoyance reverberates like an infant screaming for its mother as they are separated. Its blood curdling cry, its screeching plea. A sadistic stretch 10 miles wide. Frustration composes like an unrelenting acknowledgement of failure. Like a consistent poking by a vexatious child. © 2016 Kyran Asher Grey |
