"Martyrslaughter"

"Martyrslaughter"

A Poem by Esoterrorca

Fight the battles as if the war's already done;
the warrior's weapon was his life
knowing he would be reborn into the glow of eternal light.

Ready to be under the gun..

until desirous of his moment in the sun
got burned to a crisp by his own admission.

He would rather have been a martyr;
public opinion says no one should miss him
but he's still the media's fodder.

Judgement in the face of fear;
all that remains foreign is now a void.

In the cradle of civilization destroyed
the faithful should never be mourned.
