Trash In the DesertA Poem by Esoteric Strandhitchhiking gone badIt can get crazy, ridiculous, lonely out there. It can and does. Sure, There’s highways and knives, and guys with stolen eyes, looking for a good time, or to ruin one. Hell, Something happens, somehow functions. They’ll strand you at the gas-station, just to earn a reputation, or to soil one. Unsteady brains, jockeying on limping trains. Doing just enough of everything, to make sure you get nothing. Slowly, excruciatingly, painstakingly, taking every last letter of your name away. Desert’s teeming Leave you with the stink of gasoline Outnumbered Humbled “You look like s**t,” is all you’ll hear. Or maybe, “put your hands behind your back, this is how we do things here.” Remember: It can get crazy, ridiculous, lonely out there, out there in the desert. It can and does. © 2011 Esoteric StrandReviews
