Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by KayOss
"

We all face moments when we want to give up. What happens when we arrive at such a crossroads in our lives? How does it feel?

"

“I can’t do this anymore.” I sighed.

I laid my head down, gave up.

I sat there, waiting.

Waiting for Death to come.

Death to stop by, rescue me from Life.

I sat there, waiting.

Waiting for Death.

He never came.

Just another let down,

Another disappointment to store.

Yet, I sat there, waiting.

Waiting for Death to come.

I waited for so long,

I forgot what I was waiting for.

Still, I sit there, waiting.

Waiting for something,

I don’t know what.

Just an indescribable feeling.

I know, I wait for something.

An interesting poem. Know the feeling well but glad Death doesn't come. It is frustrating when you know you want something but not sure what.

This is so powerfully expressive, and I know so many can relate to your words. The thought of waiting in life for something to come, and we don't always know what. We just know we're dissatisfied. So well done.
