Have you heard of HIV? I am sure all of you do.You might as well know it is one of the major public health problems in all over the world. As per our chronicle this disease has come into our knowledge  in early 80's in USA.From then on the virus has been detected  worldwide and now AIDS patient can be found in almost every country. While everybody is concerned with the treatment and effective drug protocol let's make some time to look for its origin in our society. As early as 1950 the city of Kinshasa in Democratic Republic of Congo was found to be having highest number of HIV patients. And this AIDS virus strain found in human were so similar to that found in simian species like chimpanzee or monkey. It was a puzzle for both doctors and researchers. When the disease broke out, Kinshasa was thriving with human population because of local business opportunity and good connectivity.Massive deforestation program were running in and around this town to make room for new settlers with newer buildings and roads being constructed. It continued for decades. As they say human race with it's supreme power was enjoying the boon of civilization.Previously this city was surrounded by dense forest. Local people used to live upon these forests which was feeding them and taking good care of them.Like any part of the world these forests were capable of meeting their need but not their greed.Corporations, contractors, smugglers and poachers continued their mayhem.Deep in the forest men entered and started killing wild animals. The virus which was native to blood of chimpanzee came into close contact with human blood as in those situations close encounter was inevitable. So to say human blood which is too thin for such deadly virus became infected with it as well. And from one man it spread along the vast human population. The virus which was contained in animal now started attacking human body by man to man transmission .It happened everywhere in the world where our development  has led to the destruction of ecosystem essentially preempting wildlife habitat.Since the origin of life millions of animal and other subhuman species have lived under the green canopy of trees, bushes and shrubs. But the impact of civilization facilitated invasion of weeds, pests, pathogens, exotic animals sooner or later they are driven away from their habitats, their home for centuries.Pompous dream of man evicts them from the lap of mother nature which was their home for centuries.Every corner of the world human civilization thus on the process of proving their supremacy and satisfying their greed has extended it's  boundaries with violence against nature. And after extreme violence, when the thunder of the gunshot rolled away, the leaves shivered and the jungle is left with profound silence. As the man, with his bloody hand, was busy marking the trees that were as old as the earth itself, neither he heed to the sayings of old man of jungle nor to their own conscience.Rest of the lives of jungle thus retreats to the coccoon and go for hibernation. And one day when the merry-making sounds of human were pitching high in the horizon they wake up to the call of war.Jungle with their army of animals, creatures and reptiles starts marching towards our villages and cities.Hence the great Birnam wood comes against our own Macbeth who was so sincere in his thought that he would never be conquered.animals, insects loaded with virus are now expressing their deadly fangs on us.But today we have nowhere to go in this odd hours but to bow down to the wrath of an pandemic of disease.Nature has endured so many traumas during our run for industrialization and development. But we were reckless and never gave any serious thought to save the nature. To sum up our journey through the civilization, our triumph on this planet has produced toxic air and polluted water only. Our greed has sent thousands of species to extinction across the continents and left our mother earth beyond repairment.Deadly diseases has started invading our secured backyards. Our body has become too fragile to protect itself. And our desparate searching for solution to these serious health issues like today's Covid 19 leads us to this important crossroad where we have to think about preserving the nature. that we don't stop the wheel of development our future will be as bleak as that of lady macbeth.Till then we can only immerse ourselves to the obsession of washing our hands.
