SilenceA Poem by AndreaIt's the unspoken that I fear
I cant believe he couldn't hear
the silence so grim and taunting. Words were never there, but in my ear, screamed the awful, dreaded silence. Speak to me anything at all. Any old phrase would nicely do. I fell for a man with a severed tongue. I love the boy who is speechless. Vocal communication is all that is left between us now. Our lascivious attraction is raging strong but our romantic affection has been slayed. He would call my name if his throat weren't so sore. He would write me a letter but his hand has gone numb. He would speak to me if he truly cared. He wouldn't hide off alone in a corner. I can't believe he can stand this silence. Perhaps he is deafened by my words. © 2012 AndreaAuthor's Note
