L O V EA Poem by Andreaa cliche
Letters upon a page
so very very flat. Unless given life, unless given depth, they lie flatter then the paper that holds them. Against there will, may I add. They want to be free. Given dimension, given meaning. But in the context in which they are written they are merely letters on a page. L-O-V and E. Boring, boring letters that imitate a boring boring word. and I re-read these letters over and over in the poetry that you write. And I fall right to sleep, again and again For yes you love him, yes you love her. but Love is just a word written upon the many pages and It has lost all real meaning. As will him and her in a year, or a month or a moment. Forget about that word, give your letters some depth and life, give your poetry some meaning. Tell the story of the stars in his eyes, the light-years you've traveled to get to her heart. tell of that not simple things such as love. © 2012 AndreaAuthor's Note
