SheA Poem by AndreaIt's a girlShe would have her mothers eyes, that's for sure. The common set of round brown eyes. But if you look close you will see the way they are highlighted olive. they'll be beautiful, surrounded by thick gorgeous lashes. And just like mommy she will be blind as a bat. One day those eyes will hide behind a big old pair of glasses. She will hate them, and eventually start to poke at her eyes with a pair of contacts. She will paint big black circles around those eyes. She will look like a raccoon, but that girl can rock the look.
She will have her fathers hair: thick brown curls. They will bounce around her pale face, and dance halfway down her back. A bit much to manage, but she will never dare cut it. She will spend two hours in the bathroom mirror straightening it. One day she will be too lazy to do it and go to school with her natural curls. Her friends will say how beautiful it looks and she will just keep it that way. I would have always told her how much I love her locks, but she never listens to mommy. But I am the first she will ask to help her dye it purple. I haven't seen her daddy in a few months now. My menstrual cycle going to waste. But I can imagine her kicking in there. I can feel her little movements. I wish right now that she could be mine. Daddy promised to come home soon. We will be in love again. Stupid and young as always. But now we are more than ready to bring little Allison into the world. Were she can pick dandelions, eat birthday cake, crush on boys, and make her parents smile. © 2012 AndreaAuthor's Note
