HeliumA Poem by AndreaStill dreaming
Hazelnut tasting flowers
fall into the dancing stream and the laughing trees around us tell us this is all a dream, but they speak with such a gentle tongue that I cannot be brought down from the helium filled happiness floating through a silver cloud. From here I can see starry skies singing to a smiling day, and the laughing, checkered lollipops greet this lone run-away. In this land of complete make believe I cannot be brought down to be amongst the bitter, jagged rocks that sleep beneath the ground. These moments are made of polka-dots and fly around like butterflies and my fears get caught up in the wind after I kiss them all goodbye, because In this moment I am more than free I cannot be brought down. The violet doves are the angels in this heaven I have found Tired silver flowers close their eyes and say goodnight. It's time for me to wake from these little fantasies of mine, but with imagination still so alive I cannot be brought down from the helium filled happiness we can only dream about. © 2012 AndreaAuthor's Note
