She Isn't Me

She Isn't Me

A Poem by Andrea
"

For he who thinks he can move on

"
One day you'll love a girl again:
her lips so sweet,
but can't compare to me.
She won't look like me
or even know you like me,
but damn you'll wish
that she did.

With just a whisper
caressing your ear
I can make you
drift into a dream,
but she can't do that,
No she can't make you pleased.
Remember, sweetheart,
she isn't me.

A mile long list of your flaws,
I keep track of them all
but despite the fact
to me, you're still perfect,
but she will leave you
just like I should have done.
I wouldn't, ever do it
but she would.

One day you'll remember me, my friend
and to tell the truth
I have remembered you too.
Now I have moved on
and sure, he isn't you
but that b***h on your arm
still ain't me.

This has a lot of character! It makes me wonder if it was based of something that happened. A creative way of expressing toil within a relationship and our past. It is always with us, a part of us, and has helped make us who we are, but it is not a contest to compare. It is time to live bare. I agree! Beautiful!

Yep. She ain't. Beautifully written, with a gentle hint of claws at the end :)

Beautiful... I can feel every emotion the words pour out making it very heart-warming and 'real'. Thank you for this great poem. (:
