Cinderella

A twist on a fairytale

Cinderella lay upon the surgical table awaiting

to become the girl she aspired to be.

The mask was placed upon her face

and her eyes began to close,

and Cinderella drifted off to sleep.

That's when the Fairy Godmother went to work.

Dreams filled Cinderella's head.

Thoughts of pumpkins, ballrooms and a handsome prince.

When the clock struck twelve she opened her eyes.

She lifted the blanket that covered her body,

then frowned.

"I'm Sorry" said the doctor "The surgery wasn't a success".

Then Cinderella turned back into a boy.
