Like Rabbits

Like Rabbits

A Poem by Andrea
"

Comparisons to rabbits

"

Pulled out of a hat

Like a name in a raffle.

When your name gets called

You feel so awed

by the headlights:

The bright beaming

spotlight.

In your head lies a hole

You can try to find an exit,

but you really can’t tell

how deep your thoughts go.

But deep inside your mind,

you know

lies a Wonderland.

Leaving imprints

All through your life

Like tiny foot prints

in the ever falling snow.

Eventually your tracks will

be covered,

but right now they look so beautiful

and graced.

You fall in love.

Your dreams and inspirations

Multiply.

Express your love rapidly

And forget to cherish the moment.

You are than left with nothing

but a thousand tiny memories.

As you grow,

so do your senses

and you become too aware

of all that goes on

in your world.

Some days the noises

are too much to handle.

You wish you could bite your ears off

as if they were made of chocolate.

I thought this was going to be erotic,
You know , like rabbits.
Relief, it is funny bout chocolate ears
and bunny tears and
'teddy bears------wups, carried away.

Is it Easter yet? Sadly innocence escapes us like a rabbit fleeing`hounds in a hunt. Also I'm seeing a strange relation between your poetry and Alice. Just be sure to not follow and fall down a rabbit hole.

This is a clever comparison of peopkle to rabbits, frightened, multiplying, and finally getting so frustrated you want to bite your own ears off. Unfortunately, they aren't chocolate...or we might all be missing ears...

we all deep down, are frightened rabbits. How we ever got this far is beyond me. Really well written piece. It does however, make me want a lindt chocolate bunny and all the stores are closed :)
