Dreaded Yellow

Dreaded Yellow

A Poem by Andrea
"

a poem about taxi cabs.

"

The color yellow never looked so dull

as it rest upon the surface of a

taxi cab;

and it's black and white checkered sides

do no more than laugh at you

as you wave anxiously

as they pass you by.

Stuck within the angry traffic

these cars exhale

and add to the filth of the world.

Breathing out like smokers

poking pin sized holes into the atmosphere.

A taxi is no more than a metal cage

to the man behind the wheel,

for he is it's prisoner.

This man is misunderstood,

but more so, hated.

For he is a thief

with a lust for your money.

He is a deciever of the routes.

He is road-rage.

But a mircle it is

to be able to sit your a*s in this

pinetree sented death trap.

But you better have deep pockets

loaded with cash

or you will have to pay with your life.

You pray that this ride will not end

with your death

as you rampage through

the city streets.

Yeah, totally get this. even though our cabs are black (all the better for comparing them to hearses)
ive never met an honest cab driver ever. eery one of them tells you how tough times are then charges you an obvious joke for the pleasure (?)
Love the style of your write. great imagery
