(never) Forgotten

(never) Forgotten

A Poem by Andrea
"

A poem to those you can't stand to be with or without.

"

To linger in the lives we lead
is to be buried before we die.
The person that you set out to be
is only a state of mind.

I miss the awful words you'd say
that would haunt my every dream.
So captured by your ecstasy
I'm too deaf to hear you scream.

Drowning in our thoughts again.
The ocean is our lies.
The harder we try to catch our breath,
waves pull us farther back in time.

To the times that are unforgiven,
the moments set up in flames.
We argue over who owns the ashes,
but not who possesses the blame.
