(They Would Say)

(They Would Say)

A Poem by Andrea
"

what they would have said

"

(He would say)

This morning simply

was not meant for two.

I am where I should be,

I am

without you.

(She would say)

But wait until night falls

you won't be so happy as one.

I know how you fear the dark.

Tommorrow promises

no sun.

(He would say)

But day will still break.

There can be sky with no sun.

The blue can remain in your eyes

cuz baby,

we're done.

(She would say)

We never did start,

but you did win your game.

Have you no regret for this?

Have you

no shame?

(He would say)

I am not ashamed

and regret it? I might:

To have pretened to love you

that dark

winter night.

(She would say)

How could you treat me this way?

you know how I feel

and you pretended to love me?

you said

this was real.

(He would say)

It's not you my dear,

I simply loved your design.

I've taken what you are worth

and I'm keeping

what's mine.

(She would say)

(nothing)

This does not bode well for the guys... lol.. But bodes well as new experience in dialogue. A very inviting read (and design) indeed. All this is done excellently IMO, yet also IMO (just my personal opinion) I'd make the last "she would say" a definitive present tense "then she says" as to hit home the conclusion in the premise of this work... otherwise it seems to be hanging in the future. Yes, I'm being very picky about that... this write really is done excellently. Thanks!

Yes, I love the unconventional format. Also it is sad that this rings true for people in how base they can be with how they use one another. The presentation of it was unique and enjoyable :).

This is brilliant. for an ongoing discussion it flows so well and says everything about the situation. great perspective here.

This one is decidedly different... takes he said- she said in a unique direction.
